1 2 3 Go!

It’s perfectly natural to be afraid of change. After all, you don’t know how it’s going to turn out and I’m sure your brain is telling you about all the awful things that can happen if you jump while being conveniently silent regarding any good possibilities.

Courage is the conviction to take that leap despite the fear. There is no courage or bravery if there is no fear and vulnerability. There is no progress without risk and messy beginnings where you have no idea what you’re doing. Courage is not something that some people have and others don’t. It’s a decision you make every time you are faced with fear so stop telling yourself that you’re not brave.

You’re now facing some pretty big life changes and I know its scary. Don’t let your fear make the decision for you. Remind yourself, as often as possible, about all the good things that can come from this leap.

Remember that there’s going to be an uncomfortable period where you might feel stupid because you have to learn how to do things differently from how you’ve always done them. Before you know it, you will have mastered that particular inconvenience and will be considering something new that will make you feel that beginner’s mind again.

Whatever you’re facing, you got this! Tell your worry prone brain to shut up, close your eyes, plug your nose, and jump!
