Today’s Message from the Universe advises you to be kind to yourself.
You may be feeling a bit nostalgic, possibly missing the way things were at a less complicated time in your life. If that is the case, then it might be helpful to understand that happiness is more accessible when you’re not trying to re-create what you thought you had in the past. Our memories are a little tricky and often hold on to only the highlights. Things are different, you are different, so your happiness lives in accepting what is and creating new traditions that reflect your current self and situation.
Your head may be full of self-doubt, failed expectations, and cruel thoughts. It’s important to understand that those thoughts aren’t even remotely truthful. Just because you think it, doesn’t mean it’s true or real. The greatest battle you will ever wage is the battle to see yourself as you are rather than repeating voices in your past and the unrealistic expectations of the people and world around you.
Pay attention to those thoughts so you can begin to recognize them for the lies that they are. Replace them with truth and hope and keep at it! Your inner child needs hope, love, and kindness, not more fear or ugly words to make them feel even worse. Treat yourself like you’re someone you love and before you know it, you will actually love yourself.
