While you’ve been learning, initiating, or acclimating to something new in your life, you might sometimes feel as if the good results and even happiness are very far away. However, you know deep down in your gut that you are on the right path so don’t let the opinions of others make you second-guess yourself. Even more, don’t let the voice of your fear and self-doubt be louder than the knowing. Those voices in your head would like to keep you exactly as you are even if you are not in a very good place. Recommit and stay dedicated to your path!
Remember too that happiness is not a destination. It’s a choice you make sometimes in every moment. This does not mean that you can choose not to be sad or angry or any other “negative” feeling. You can feel awful and still have hope. You can allow yourself to cry, knowing that it’s a release you needed. You can choose to take a walk, create, or call a friend to help lift you up a bit. Your choice takes the form of deciding to use your coping tools and make good choices for yourself even, and especially, when you’re feeling great
