Confusion and Misunderstandings – The Topsie Turvets Reversed

Published by Trish Nonya on

You may be at odds with someone close to you or having a hard time reconciling their actions with who you thought they were. It’s difficult to see things for what they are when you’re caught up in the emotional aspect of a situation so it’s time to step back and see things from another point of view.

You might think that they should believe or act in a certain way but this isn’t about “should” it’s about what is. Understanding their point of view may or may not help your relationship but it will help you to see things for what they are so you’re able to make a good decision regarding where they fit into your life or what your next steps may be. It’s possible that there is just a miscommunication here but it’s also possible that the emotional aspect of the relationship caused you to misunderstand who they are and how they affect your well-being, or vice versa.

Whether this is a lover, a friend, family member, or a co-worker, understanding their point of view helps you to understand how best to interact with them and may even help you to anticipate their behaviors so you’re not caught off guard and reacting from an emotional space.
