All work and no play is a recipe for burnout and misery. Unfortunately we are living lives where our responsibilities are all-consuming and our free time is used solely for sleep or screen time. Sometimes we even fill that free time with more work.
We highly underestimate the importance of play in our lives and if we find ourselves with no time for play then we need to make time.
Participating in fun activities improves brain function, floods our bodies with chemicals needed for good health, sparks creativity, and improves our relations with others. The list of benefits is endless.
