You’re shedding the beliefs and desires that never really rung true for you and that’s not an easy thing. The weight of other’s expectations, the burden of striving for what society tells you is normal or beautiful; as you shed these heavy layers, you uncover the self you’ve kept hidden and learn to be just who you are. This “you” is not different from the old you, it’s just freer.
