The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Published by Trish Nonya on

I don’t care who you are, we all come up in this world with expectations of who we should be and how we should behave. We torture ourselves trying to fix the things that don’t fit these impossible standards, but you’re learning to recognize them for what they are. This is where the light seeps in.

The more you choose to make decisions based on who you actually are and what you truly desire, the freer you become. Look at you doing it! Learning to live in authenticity and shedding the ideals that were not even yours to begin with. This is where the light fills you and the weight of the world begins to puddle at your feet instead of piling on your shoulders.

Some of you are facing a decision that pits what you feel is right for you against what you think you “should” do. I’m here to tell you that thumbing your nose at the “should” is not only desirable but often the wise thing to do. Sure there will be risk, there always is, but when you choose what aligns with you, all your efforts will be laced with heart and pride.

There is no longer any room for that survival mindset, it’s time to thrive!
