A Message from the Universe ~ Tackle that Worry and Stress!

Today’s Message from the Universe reminds you that you are your own worst critic.

Life is challenging, even at the best of times! While it is wise to examine your actions and make adjustments where needed, it is not wise to ruminate on them. Of, course, it’s not always easy to not ruminate on them either.

I know how much hard work you put into the important things in your life and you would do well to take notice of that yourself. Your difficulties are not due to lack of effort, sometimes they just are.

The brain dump

Today is a good day for a brain dump! All those thoughts in your head, large and small, write them down. You don’t have to worry about what to do with them right now, just get them out. This helps your brain to process them differently. I think that more than a few of these thoughts will resolve themselves once they’re on paper.

The things you can’t control

Once you’ve got them out, take a look at what you’ve got. Look for the things you have no control over, cross them out, and write them down on a new page. This includes things like goals where you can control your output but not the outcome such as money-based goals.

Now, for each one of those things, write down what you can do to make yourself feel or process them better. Maybe talking to a friend might help with one and another might be helped by choosing something else to focus on so you can easily redirect your focus when you’re in the moment. Sometimes a good cry is what’s needed and sometimes all you can do is leave it in the Universe’s hand and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

The things you can control

I don’t have to tell you what to do with the things you can control but I do have a little advice to share.

  1. Prioritize your tasks. What needs your attention most and what can be put on the backburner? If you’re not sure how best to prioritize, I think you will find the Eisenhower Matrix quite helpful!
  2. Don’t keep changing your approach without giving your efforts time to show results. You’re not going to grow a pretty flower if you keep digging up the roots it’s trying to grow.
  3. Prioritize your well-being! Whatever you’re doing will be at its best when you are at your best. When you’re not taking care of yourself, nothing gets the focus and attention needed and you are almost certainly making more problems for yourself. Everything is more difficult when you’re not well.

Wrapping up

No more letting your worries run you down! We are human so we will stress and worry from time to time but we can take steps to minimize how much we stress and how much it affects us. The more you prioritize your peace, the easier it becomes. Eventually, peace will become your natural state so worries and stressors just won’t hit the same way 💙
