Life is a dance, and so are the current energies! Today (Sep 21, 2025), there’s a partial solar eclipse that’s wrapping up the current eclipse season, and there’s a conjunction happening between Venus (love and money) and Uranus (sudden change) at the same time. Add the fact that tomorrow is the equinox, and you’ve got some seriously big energy!
Full disclaimer: I am not an astrologist. I do know a little, as it applies to a lot of what I do, and I like to see what astrologers have to say about current astrological energies and events. I have felt crazy big energy shifts in my own life recently that I feel are more of a collective thing, and current astrological events seem to support that.
A breakdown of the current energies:
Partial Solar Eclipse in Virgo:
Significant life changes, endings, and new beginnings, particularly in the areas of health, work, and daily routines. These changes are likely to be unexpected and not something under your ability to control..
Venus Conjunct Uranus:
Venus is the planet of love, money, and values, while Uranus is all about the unexpected, revolution, and sudden change. Together, they create the ideal energy for things like a sudden financial windfall, an unexpected connection or breakup, or an inner revolution of some sort that may even have you rethinking who you are and how you show up in this world.
The Equinox
A brief time when night and day are in perfect balance. Though we may be preparing for different seasons depending on where we live on this planet, our actions and reflections are the same. In each season of nature or life, we determine what we carry with us into the next and what is best left behind or stored for next year.
Today’s Tarot cards
Today’s title popped into my head immediately upon looking at the cards, and with good reason. The Chariot is a fast-moving and determined energy, while Temperance is slow and meticulous.
That third card is the Eight of Pentacles, which is usually portrayed as a person hammering away at his pentacles on a workbench. He’s not just doing a job, he’s honing his craft – always expanding and learning more.
What does that mean?
Honestly, I think things are about to be happening fast (if they haven’t started already), but they’ll be happening in fits and starts. I feel like there will be a lot of timing/scheduling issues and pileups that you won’t have much control over, so trim and pad where you can.
While there may be a sudden big circumstance that changes quickly, some of the details and adjacent things may be in flux for some time. Usually, what is started in eclipse season takes about 6 months to bear fruit if it’s that sort of thing.
How can you work best with this energy?
While you would normally focus on fresh starts and intention setting during a new moon, the same is not usually recommended during an eclipse because the energy is unpredictable and often chaotic. Ultimately, you have to go with whatever feels right to you.
My suggestions? Reflect, release, receive, reform, redirect, create, recreate, recover, refocus, refresh, refuel, ride that bitch! Don’t try to control the uncontrollable, let yourself feel what needs feeling, and go with what your body wants if it seems to need a little more or less sleep, food, snuggle time, etc, than usual.
This is a great time to do some purging and creating of any kind, and I can’t push the journaling and reflection enough. Give yourself a little extra grace and buffer whenever you are able!
