A Message from the Universe ~ Health, Laziness, Hope, and Freedom
Today’s Message from the Universe indicates a need for motivation.
Let’s address the “laziness” card first. I can tell you from experience that when we or others perceive ourselves as lazy, there is often big healing that is needed. We live in a time where each of us is expected to do all the things on our own instead of working together as a family or community. It is hard enough (often not even possible) to do all the things when you’re a healthy person. Someone who is exhausted, in pain, or depressed all the time usually just feels worse at the end of the day when hounded by all the things they “should” have done.
If you are thinking of someone as lazy, there is a need to put yourself in their shoes. Try to think of them with empathy, compassion, and kindness. They may have too much on their plate at this time or they might be going through something you don’t really understand. Either way, you are being advised to give them a helping hand, even if your help is just spending some quiet time with them.
If you are one of the “lazy” people, beating yourself up about not being able to do and be what you “should” do and be, you are being advised to be kind to yourself. Chances are that you’re doing far better than you think you are! It’s time to make your well-being a top priority. If you are able to get professional help, please do, even if there’s a long waiting list or difficulty with transportation. If you can make it happen, make it top priority!
With or without professional help, it’s also time to see where you can make things easier for yourself. Remove unnecessary tasks and obligations, and allow yourself to do little things that will chip away at the big things. You may want to give yourself a little structure or loosen up on the current structures that keep you running on empty.
When I was working full-time and dealing with a body and brain that were perpetually sick, staying on top of household chores was always the most difficult for me. I learned to organize things by where I used them and how often and I learned how to trick my brain with the 5-minute rule. I created a habit of picking up 1 or 2 things every time I left a room and gave myself permission to “half-ass” some things because it was better than not doing anything because it was so overwhelming.
What works will be different for everyone. You know what your strengths and weaknesses are, and you know what resources are available to you. Do NOT be afraid to ask for help either, we all need help from time to time! Once you start to get healthy, you’ll find yourself welcoming in a feeling of freedom and hope you never thought was possible for you.
