A Message from the Universe ~ Unburden Yourself!
Today’s Message from the Universe invites you to examine your burdens and responsibilities.
If you look closely, you will see that there are quite a few things on your plate that are unnecessary. Some of these unnecessary things are responsibilities that belong to others and it’s time to give them back. It doesn’t matter if they don’t do it the way you think is right. Let them make mistakes and find their own way of doing the things. As long as you do it for them, they are not learning to take care of not only this particular responsibility but many more that are closely related. Do not deprive them of the experience they need to grow.
Those of you with children are being reminded that, though you shouldn’t burden children with adult things, it’s actually quite healthy for them to see that you have difficult emotions and learn how you work through everyday issues. Use your experience to show them tools that will help them on their own life’s journey.
Once you’ve made your way through responsibilities that belong to others, it’s a good time to examine some of the things you do out of habit or because someone, at some time, made you think it was a thing that needed doing. What do you do that is no longer necessary? What about the things that are necessary but can be done more efficiently or might benefit from a time limit? How about the things that need doing that would benefit from a helping hand? We all need help from time to time and you are no different. It may feel awkward or really uncomfortable but that’s only due to your conditioning. Chances are that asking for help will make the other person feel good about themselves.
Once you’ve worked your way through trimming down the physical unnecessaries, you might be left with plenty of emotional or mental burdens, such is life. Do a brain dump to help process all the things taking up mental space then use the power of visualization to help leave some of it behind and give some of the other stuff you can’t control up to the universe or your higher power. A great visualization for releasing and unburdening is as follows:
Imagine yourself in a clearing. Feel the sun on your face and the grass beneath your feet. Try to engage as many of your senses as possible. Once you have done this, look ahead to see a bridge and make your way there. Notice the water as it flows beneath the bridge. Now visualize your burdens and difficulties as something physical and throw them in the water. give gratitude for the waters that will carry them away and finish crossing the bridge. You may find a person, animal, or other sentient being on the other side. Talk to them, they may have some great insight or might just be a helping hand on your path.
