Today’s Message From the Universe is all about finding peace during chaotic times.
We are living through unprecedented times, my friends, and it’s all too easy to let the weight of the world break your heart many times in a given day. It can also be easy to ignore the difficult things happening around you from your comfy space of cultivated serenity. As with most things, the healthy bit lies in the balance.
Our voices are needed to help those who do not have a voice of their own. Our care and our rage are what topple repressive systems and spark new ways of seeing, walking, and loving in this world. We need to see and feel the awful stuff that is happening.
However, we cannot stay in that space! Not only do we need to give ourselves some regular relief from these overwhelming feelings, but we also need to remind ourselves of all the amazing things that are happening as well, I mean, what are we fighting for?
While certain events and atrocities may cause us to despair, we can also find reason to hope and bolster our hearts in the sheer number of people who stand together against such things. There are so many more of us than them! We have the ability to communicate and organize in a way that has never been available to us in the whole of human history!
Aside from the counter-movements to whatever awful things are happening, there are everyday miracles and amazing things all around you if you will just open to them. We humans are complex beings and are more than capable of feeling two opposing things at the same time.
Finding a moment of peace or joy does not negate that righteous anger and need for justice. As a matter of fact, and I’m speaking from experience here, it transforms that anger and need for justice into something…fuller. Think of it as the difference between an angry person who’s yelling and throwing things versus a determined mother who wants to make the world a better place for her kids and generations to come.
Yes, my heart aches, but it is also full of gratitude and awe for far too many things to list. That’s the thing with love and gratitude; the more you have, the more you’re given.

I am trying very hard to cultivate my serenity today as I have a little surgery tomorrow and concerned, hoping all is well. We can’t help but be concerned but trying to not let it affect me and others around me.
