If you’re waiting on an answer…
You may be waiting for an answer, holding your actions and even your breath while you wait for a reply. This is your reminder that silence is also an answer. It may not be the answer you want but it is an answer nonetheless. Even if there is some indecision at play with the other party, this is the time for you to make the decision to be done. Sometimes you have to give yourself the closure that will not be coming from the other person.
Of course, this energy can show up in many different ways so it’s good to pick a day that you think will be enough time for them to figure out what they want to do.
If someone else is waiting for you to reply…
While it’s usually a good thing to reply, there are some people that you should not concern yourself with. They might be the kind of person who refuses to take “no” for an answer or you may know that it will turn into a big battle. Their inability to adhere to your boundaries and healthy discourse is more than a good reason to ignore them, it might be the healthiest way for you to deal with this person.
Need to get up in front of an audience?
I know just how terrifying this can be! Whether you are speaking to a crowd or trying to get up the courage to start a YouTube channel, practice and preparation will be helpful but ultimately doing the thing is the only way to make it comfortable. Remember, courage is not the lack of fear, it’s doing the thing despite your fear!
Been holding your tongue a little too long?
Maybe there’s a situation you know isn’t right or someone has been treating you poorly. This is the time to make yourself heard! You might need to set some boundaries or call out bad behavior. You may also think about how you can work with others to help with your own healing or to make a difference in your community. If you need to have a difficult one-on-one conversation, this is your reminder that waiting will only make it harder.
However this energy shows up for you…
Don’t make decisions when emotions are high, carefully consider your words before you use them, and don’t let worry keep you quiet. How you communicate with words, tone, and body language will have a big impact on your peace of mind this week.
