Self-Doubt is Part of the Process!
Nonya’s Nonsense Issue #5

Hello beautiful soul!!!
I finished listening to the 4th book of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series last night and knew exactly what I would write about today! There’s an afterword at the end of the book where King talks about his struggle to write about Roland’s first love.
He wrote this book when he was 48 and published it in 1997. Despite being an incredibly successful and prolific writer, he thought this book might not be a very good one. Of course, not everyone is a fan of his and some books are better than others but this one is commonly the favorite of the series!
Imagine that. Someone like Stephen King dealing with self-doubt regarding the thing he excels at and is famous for! It shouldn’t be surprising because he was stepping out of his comfort zone but we don’t often realize that even the masters have their doubts.
This is a reminder for you to remember that self doubt is often a part of the process. It is neither lie nor truth, but a fear that can sometimes be wordless. Acknowledge it without giving it weight and keep moving!

What I’m Watching
I’m currently trying to catch up on work so I haven’t been able to watch much though I did get to watch a little TV last night.
I just finished watching the latest episode of The Rings of Power series (Prime), a prequel to the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books and movies. It can be a little slow at times but I’m enjoying it!
I was also able to squeeze in another episode of Lisey’s Story (Apple TV) which is based on Stephen King’s book of the same name. Again, this is a little slow but it is starting to get a little more interesting.
I’m on a 3-month free trial of Apple TV and will probably just watch a couple more things before it ends. There’s not much on there that appeals to me.
