Dreams, Gifts, Signs, & Synchronicities ~ A Message From the Universe

Today’s Message From the Universe is all about dreams, gifts, signs, and synchronicities.

I don’t have to believe in clairvoyant dreams because I have been experiencing them ever since I can remember. They can often be cryptic, and some run-of-the-mill dreams can seem like a message when they’re really just processing the daily stuff. Keeping a dream journal can be helpful in learning to differentiate between the two, but discernment and patience are also necessary here.

The same goes for the signs and messages we receive in waking life. Much like the main character in Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist,” I allow the little signs and synchronicities to guide me through each day. However, I have learned not to overthink them. Sometimes they confirm the validity of a thought or path, but sometimes they’re just a little something to make me smile and dial up the gratitude.

It can be all too easy to put our own spin on such things.

I’ve seen this a lot when reading tarot for others as well as myself, but it shows up in everything from politics to relationships. Our confirmation bias can severely skew any messages we receive, so we need to be mindful of how we act on and react to such information.

This is particularly difficult when we’re talking about our spiritual experiences and gifts, because they can often feel like our imagination. As a natural skeptic, this is one of the things I struggle with the most. I have had more than a few experiences that made me a believer in the “supernatural,” but trusting myself is a whole other thing entirely.

Was that my imagination or my intuition? Am I interpreting it right? I still cringe almost every time I post something that is based on my gifts, interpretation of the message, and advice. Every. Damn. Time. I have also noticed that the messages that make me cringe the most are often the most helpful and well-received by others.

There’s no real set of rules, and the way we experience such things can differ wildly from one person to the next.

At the end of the day, we understand such things through the lens of our own experience. We can learn about what others have experienced and how their gifts manifest, but that doesn’t mean it will work the same for us or provide a universal truth. As with anything in life, we might learn from others and try out their advice, but we must understand that their way is not the only way.

We must try it on like a new pair of jeans, see how it fits, make adjustments accordingly, then practice, practice, practice! Understanding ourselves, our gifts, and our paths lies in the doing so much more than the learning of the external. Though we might experience many things similar to others, our path and overall experience will be unique to each of us.
