Everything is Better When We Approach it With Love
And what is it to work with love?
It is to weave the cloth with threads drawn from your heart, even as if your beloved were to wear that cloth.
It is to build a house with affection, even as if your beloved were to dwell in that house.
It is to sow seeds with tenderness and reap the harvest with joy, even as if your beloved were to eat the fruit.
It is to charge all things you fashion with the breath of your own spirit,
And to know that all the blessed dead are standing about you and watching.
Kahlil Gibran
Although this passage speaks of work, it is beautiful advice for life on all levels. Everything is better when we approach it from a place of love.
This is especially important right now. We’re all feeling the heavy energies of a world that has begun transitioning away from centuries of imbalance. The divine feminine has long been suppressed and buried beneath unchecked and twisted masculinity.
In order to restore the balance, we need to remember just how powerful love and compassion really are.
No matter your sex or gender identity, we are all comprised of both masculine and feminine energies. We’re conditioned to think of femininity as weak but we forget that a mother whose child is threatened is a force to be reckoned with. We equate masculinity with brute strength then forget how fragile one can become because they never learned to properly process their emotions.
We were raised to produce and consume in an endless cycle.
That is in direct conflict with everything we need to be truly fulfilled in this life, then we wonder why life has to be so hard. My friends, we need to strive to bring love and compassion to the table at least as much as we strive for our daily bread.
The more you infuse into your own life, the more you allow others to do the same.
You don’t have to like someone to wish them well. You can love someone and still draw your boundaries. It is possible to find joy in your heart even as you grieve, and love a stranger you’ve never seen.
Love may not be as loud as all the chaos and rage, it spreads silently in far larger ways.
