Life Goes On: A Message From the Universe

Spiritual and practical guidance for the week ahead, or whenever you happen to see this 🙂

Today’s Message From the Universe reminds you that life goes on. Awful things happen, but the sun rises again and again.

Similarly, our lives do not stop because tragedy struck or a new obstacle lands in our path, though sometimes a part of us may wish for it. Our responsibilities do not disappear, but neither do our desires and dreams, or our ability to experience happiness, even though it may go quiet for a bit.

This is life – full of heartache and difficulty, but also full of all the gratitude, love, joy, and everything in between that make it truly amazing!

The image of a gathering after a funeral keeps coming up for me. There’s nothing quite like the grief of losing someone you love, a truly awful occasion. Yet if you are able to look around, you will see good food and storytelling, people laughing through their tears, and supporting each other in a myriad of ways.

You will see the same, on a much grander scale, in any community after a natural disaster.

Your ability to call upon your gratitude, love, and joy in such difficult times will make an incredible difference in how you experience such times, as well as the lasting effects of the difficulties.

This week is all about giving a big ol’ “FUCK YOU” to whatever is stressing you out, and finding joy in as many moments as possible.

This may start with acknowledging the fact that you don’t have any control over this thing. Even if you already know this, sometimes writing it down or saying it out loud can be far more helpful than you might think!

Sound is also a big part of the advice.

Music, especially the right music, is always recommended if that’s your thing, but this is more.

Sound has a huge effect on us! Pay attention to the sounds of your day and how they make you feel; they can contribute greatly to your anxiety or your peace. Use them as a tool and cultivate your environment with them as well.

Do not put your dreams on hold!

Ok, if you’ve got to pivot, you’ve got to pivot, BUT that doesn’t mean you bury everything you’ve been putting so much of yourself into for so long!

Maybe you adjust how much you put into it, or maybe you tweak it to fit your current circumstances or the current world a little better. This is something that will grow and change with you anyway!

A release and a boost!

Laugh, sing, dance, run, release!! I almost added some art stuff and all that, but the message is clear. There is a need for big movement, either physically or with your own sound, though in as many ways as possible is preferred!

If you can get together with people who make you laugh, do that! If you can go out dancing, do that! Have a game night, a potluck with friends, or how about a sleepover with makeup and wine? Adding other people into the mix isn’t a requirement, but it could make this release thing a whole lot easier.

Either way, your assignment this week (and always!) is to make as much fun, love, laughter, and movement as possible 💙
