Today’s Message From the Universe informs us that there are sunny skies ahead!
The King of Swords stands between lack and anxiety – two things that many of us feel most keenly at this time of year. The lack of sunlight and warmth for those of us in the north takes a toll on mental health, and the ultra-commercialized holidays can be a stark reminder of what we don’t have.
Lost loved ones, loneliness, depression, health issues, trying to figure out gifts when money’s already tight…these things can make what’s supposed to be a joyful occasion anything but.
Many of you have also been pouring more energy than usual into work or personal projects, or even feeling as if the same amount of work is currently requiring ten times the effort.
Part of the King’s message in this particular deck is “an intense work phase is almost done.”
This is your reminder that the sun always comes out. Even if shrouded by clouds for months on end, it eventually comes back to a state of full power and light. The Winter Solstice, on the 21st, marks the time when our sun begins to stay with us a little longer each day, reminding us that Spring is on the other side of this frigid darkness.
Be gentle with yourself as well as those who surround you or cross your path. Take rest and mental refreshment at every opportunity, and remember that you have so much more to give that money cannot buy! Seek help and lend a helping hand to others – both will lift your spirit.
Most of all, just hang in there! You will not need to wait until Spring to get some relief.
I believe that many of us will start to see things lighten up around the new year, if not sooner. I pulled a card for timing (9 of wands, how fitting!), and that tells me 9 days – which, on the day of writing this, brings us exactly to the Winter Solstice. Of course, this is a message for many people and circumstances, so the timing may be a little longer or shorter for some.
Finally, I want to send you so much of my love and wish many blessings on you and yours as we look forward to a new year that will bring many new beginnings and long-term cyclic endings. Peace be with you 💙
