Tarot/Oracle Card of the Day – Maat

Published by Trish Nonya on

It is time to balance the scales of justice. Though our earthly systems of justice do not always align with universal justice, I do believe the two are aligning now.

This is occurring not only now in the US where we are experiencing a large scale civil rights movement but heightening throughout the globe in recent years. Marginalized people are learning that their inherent worth is far more than our systems would have us believe.

The color of your skin, your gender, sexual preference, and religious beliefs should not lessen your opportunities or make you a target. Where you were born and what family you were born into should not automatically deem you more or less than anybody else. Yet this is the world that we have inherited.

But we don’t have to accept it, as is, to pass all these issues on to future generations!

The world is in our hands, we have the ability to each make it just a little better in our own way. We do this by standing firm in our own convictions and standing up for those who cannot stand for themselves. We do this by realizing that when we act in kindness towards others, we create ripples that become tsunamis.

Achieving this kind of justice, this balance, is messy and often painful so it’s important to look at the big picture. What is happening now will impact our societies long after we have left this earth.
