Today’s Message from the Universe advises you to get creative!

It is said that necessity is the mother of invention and that is the overall feel of today’s message. You may be trying to figure out a solution to a particularly difficult problem or you may just feel stuck in general. This is where your creativity becomes your best friend. I know there are far too many of you that don’t think you are creative but we all are. We just use our creativity for different things, not just the creation of art.

Our creative brains are too often used for things like worry and anxiety. It takes a lot of creativity to tell ourselves the stories of worst case scenarios and create reasons (excuses) for why we are unable or even unworthy of doing great things. Using you creativity for the good gets better with practice just like anything else, and today we’re putting it to use in the form of resourcefulness. You might not even realize just how resourceful you are! Many of my single parents out there can probably list a zillion ways they created something they needed when they didn’t have what they thought they actually needed.

Have you ever needed a specific tool to fix something and found something around your home that was close enough? A butter knife instead of a screwdriver or a shoe in place of a hammer? Maybe you were missing an ingredient for the dinner you planned and changed things up a bit to use what you had on hand. This is called creative problem solving and, no matter what the problem is, there is almost always a way to, at the very least, make it a little easier on you. Don’t be afraid to discuss with others either, different perspectives are extremely helpful.

There is a big element in this message regarding your state of mind. “I can’t” is a copout and that sort of thought poisons your whole outlook on your self and life. It’s a self-fulfilling prophesy. If you think you can’t then you’re definitely not going to. Start training your brain to look for the possibility instead of excuses and doubt.
