A Message from the Universe ~ In Darkness and Light

Today’s Message from the Universe reminds you that everything is both dark and light.

This message is also a reminder that what dwells in shadow is usually not as awful as you think. Once you shine the light on it, you will often see something that was just as frightened as you were. This is a call for some of you to do some shadow work. Though it sounds scary, most of what is hidden in your shadow is parts of yourself that, at some point in your early life, were incorrectly labeled as “bad.”

This is the deep pool where societal and parental expectations live side by side with enormous untapped potential. You can dip your toes in by paying attention to your behaviors and reactions and then asking where they come from. The more you observe, the more it becomes second nature. Challenge the good/bad labels you put on yourself and the world around you. Are they actually good or bad or are they labeled that way out of a lack of understanding? Most are just “how it has always been done” but we all know that progress, creativity, and invention come from stepping outside what has already been done.

Even the actually awful things have their place and purpose. Without destruction, we can have no creation. Chaos comes before order and old ways will be loud and violent as they struggle to stay where they no longer have a place. It can be difficult not to let those kinds of things get to us but understanding that they are part of the cycle of life can be helpful. Do what you can in your own realm and that will create ripples in places you didn’t even know existed.
