A Message from the Universe ~ Making Time for Real Life
Today’s Message from the Universe urges you to make time for yourself.
This might ruffle some feathers but it needs to be said: saying that you don’t have time for something is a cop-out. You don’t have time for it because it’s not a priority for you.
Now, that doesn’t mean I think it’s easy to make time for that thing you’d like to do. Most of us are overworked and over-scheduled, throw a kid or three into the mix and it can seem downright impossible.
I promise you, though, it is not impossible.
I know what it’s like to come home from a long day at work and just not have the brain power or bandwidth to give any real attention to our home life which so desperately needs it.
We muddle through our personal responsibilities, running on fumes, until we are finally able to plop ourselves down in front of a screen to zone out until we can manage to find some sleep.
I’m not even going to tell you to figure out where you can make time today. I just want you to pay attention to your energy levels throughout the week. Make note of the times you feel not quite empty and the draining responsibilities that might not actually be necessary.
What responsibilities can you delegate to others? Even toddlers can be taught to do a little cleaning up after themselves. Where can you loosen your routines up a little?
Most importantly, how do you spend your downtime?
Rest is needed but so is having some actual quality in your downtime. You can scroll through your phone endlessly but allowing yourself time to be creative or work on things you’d like to manifest in your life is actually refreshing and rejuvenating in a way that just resting is not.
If you want better, you have to step outside of the endless daily cycles as much as possible. Making yourself, your creativity, and your goals one of the highest priorities is how you break this cycle. It’s time to go about actually living your life 💙
