A Message from the Universe ~ Welcoming in a New Year
Today’s Message from the Universe is encouraging you to work on feeling secure and re-think how you welcome the new year.
Our Root Chakra is all about safety, security, and stability. It is the foundation on which we build our life. When we don’t feel safe, secure, or stable, it just makes everything else that much more difficult.
You might be worried about finances or feeling stuck in a situation where you feel the need to make yourself small to take up as little space as possible. You might even be just fine now but all the old fears and feelings of not being enough persist.
As we embark on a new year, you might want to consider working on this particular corner of your mind and the unhealthy or outdated patterns and behaviors that were created from this wound. Forget the typical New Year’s resolutions but take advantage of the current energy. We are closing a pretty difficult 4 year cycle.
Instead of resolving to quit something or shoot for some big goal that you’re probably going to find a little too difficult, create ways to make it easier for you to do this thing. Create small habits and tack them onto things you already do. Change up your environment to make it easier for you to quit something or make those small habits easier.
You might decide to only get healthy food when shopping so you have to work harder to get the junk you crave or lay your workout clothes and equipment out the night before so that’s one less thing to you have to do in order to create that exercise routine you have such a hard time with. Keep your guitar closer than the remote and find ways to inject fun into all the difficult or monotonous things.
Most of all, don’t just say or even intend to do this one big thing for the year. I recommend reviewing and revising every three months, a little longer or shorter depending on how much you have going on at the time. There is a new moon on 1/11 so don’t forget to take advantage of that energy to solidify your intentions and boost their potency.
