Daily Card for 1/7/20 – Trusting Your Intuition

Published by Trish Nonya on

In a society that plays to our fears and insecurities, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to hear what our intuition is trying to tell us. Our past experiences and current struggles can muddle that message as well.

Anxiety is epidemic so we write it off as a malfunction when really it’s just a symptom of living in a manner that doesn’t jive with our natural selves.

I struggle with anxiety but always find it to be much worse when I try to make something work that is not for me. Its like trying to master your navigational skills while the ship is going down. You might become somewhat of an expert but that boat is still sinking. Anxiety clouds our judgement so in the sinking ship scenario, if we were to hear our gut instead of our pounding heart we would probably have pulled out the inflatable raft.

The general consensus is that intuition is a calm knowing that doesn’t have physical symptoms. While it can be that way, I have found that not to be the case for myself, it will absolutely manifest physically if I don’t pay attention to it.

So how do you tell the difference? Intuition is about what you feel needs to be done now, irrational fear lives in the future. You can tune into your intuition best when you are calm and present.
