There is No Light Without Darkness

Published by Trish Nonya on

It’s easy to feel weighed down or frightened by all that is happening in our world right now. Things are changing at a very fundamental level and we are experiencing the destruction of what no longer serves us as a collective.

You know how difficult that process is in your own life so you can only imagine what it looks like when the things that no longer serve us have been standing for decades, centuries, and even millennia. It’s a grueling but natural process and you can see it’s patterns in our history.

We consume and abuse the earth and its inhabitants then the earth and the abused rebel in an attempt to establish balance. The urgency is lost through generations and we start tipping those scales again. This is life on both a collective and individual scale.

Understanding what is happening on a larger scale may help to relieve you of some of the weight you feel when you see all the things as individual incidents. There is no light without the darkness and no creation without destruction. We are growing and healing and creating.

Change is uncomfortable at the least but it’s inevitable so don’t fight it. Trying to hold onto something that is no longer sustainable will only make things that much more difficult. Try instead to understand what these changes mean to you so you can help yourself and others to recognize and encourage the light that is trying to break through.
